With Lichfield picking up their first league victory of the season last weekend, they are looking for another this weekend when they host yet another new team to the league, Bridgnorth Rugby Club.

In recent times, Bridgnorth have enjoyed successive seasons of promotion. Firstly, they were champions of Midlands 2 West (North) in the 2014/15 season before becoming champions of Midlands 1 West last season (2015/16). However, they have had a mixed start to life in National 3 Midlands as after 7 games they have won 3 and lost 4 and find themselves 10th in the table but will no doubt again prove to be a tricky fixture for the Myrtle Greens.

So with this in mind, if you are free this Saturday (29th October) to support, please come down to Cooke Fields as the 1st XV would be boosted greatly by a large home crowd as they look for back-to-back victories for the first time this season, kick-off is 3pm.

If you would like to make an afternoon of it, the club are looking to encourage as many members and their families, plus non-members to come and join us for a pre-match meal at the cost of £15 per head, payable on the day for the food.

You will enjoy a good three course meal, with choices to hopefully suit any palate. If you go home hungry then it will be personal choice, as there is always lots to eat if you want to!

Please let Ian Bascombe know on 07973 192590 or (ian@squirrelpfa.co.uk) in advance, if you would like to attend, so he knows the numbers to cater for.

Timings for the pre-match meal are; arrival at 1.00pm-1.30pm, meal at 1.30pm and kick-off at 3pm.
