Lichfield Men's 1st XV go again in search of their first league victory of the season when they welcome Bedford Athletic to Cooke Fields this Saturday.

Bedford Athletic were promoted last season as champions of Midlands 1 East but have endured a difficult start to life in National 3 Midlands as they have lost all 5 of their opening league games and find themselves bottom of the league. Even so, as we found out, National 3 Midlands is a hugely competitive league and will no doubt be a challenging fixture.

With this in mind, the Myrtle Greens would be boosted greatly by a large home crowd to cheer them to victory. So if you are free this Saturday please come down and show your support, kick off is at 3pm.

Also on Saturday is the Vice Presidents pre-match lunch. So, if you are a Vice President make sure you get yourself down to Cooke Fields to enjoy your three course pre-match lunch. Vice Presidents can also bring guests that are paid for (£12), with them.

For more information about the Vice Presidents pre-match lunch, please contact Ian Bascombe on 07973 192590 or e-mail him on ( in advance. Timings for the pre-match lunch are; arrival at 1pm and lunch at 1.30pm.
