The 2017/18 season starts on Saturday 2nd September at 15:00 as the Myrtle Greens host Newport (Salop).

This season brings change for Lichfield with Jonny Evans assuming the responsibility of Captain.  New faces have joined the Myrtle Greens over the summer and the Men go into the season looking to continue the fine form that they had for the second half of last season and 2017 to date.

Mens rugby will be looking to build in general during this new season, with 3 senior sides running out on Saturdays in League action, something the club has not managed to achieve for a while.  If you would be interested in playing rugby for any of the senior sides, even if just the odd game, please get in touch with either Dan (07967 076797) or Stuart (07790 295559).

Youth rugby returns on Sunday 3rd September with Rugger Rats kicking things off at 09:15.  This is great fun for those going into Reception or Year 1 at Primary school this September.  Everyone is welcome for up to an hour of fun, movement and making friends.  No special kit is required - just bring a drink.

For those aged 6 and above rugby will be on 10:30 - 12:00.  Boys and girls up the age of 10 are very welcome to come and give rugby a go.  Any boys aged 11 and up are also most welcome to come and see what rugby is all about, appreciating for those going into secondary school this September, rugby might be a new sport they start to play at school, if they have not tried it before.

Girls in Year 7 and upwards have their own sessions on Sunday afternoons and Becky (07957 982450) would love to hear from anyone who is interested in giving rugby a try!  We are keeping our fingers crossed that our Lichfield Ladies will be able to bring the Womens Rugby World Cup back to Cooke Fields again, by winning it for a 2nd time.

If you want to join Lichfield you can do so by purchasing a membership online via the website, or, you can complete the form available in the clubhouse.  Memberships are due in September but for anyone new, you are free to try rugby at Lichfield for up to 4 weeks, if you need a bit of time to see if you want to join our rugby family.
