The RFU wants to see all rugby players have a break from the game in the off season, particularly contact elements.

What is encouraged is to try other sports and approved summer activities. One of the approved summer activities is Touch rugby and that is what Lichfield is happy to see our players, from next season’s Under 9s and up do during the summer months to keep fit and have some fun.

Summer Touch will run Monday and Wednesday nights’ 7 – 8 pm. It is fun for all ages and depending on numbers we can have adults and youth players in games together, as well as in their own games.

It’s free for club members and you just have to turn up when you can.

For those who are a little more competitive, there is a Touch series running on Friday nights at different clubs in East Staffordshire.

• Burton RFC- 13th May 7-9pm*
• Tamworth RFC – 27th May 7pm -9pm*
