Lichfield Rugby Club are very proud to have been informed about the recent news of Craig Maxwell Keys, he posted the below a few days ago on his Facebook.

“Thank you all; a long way from Lichfield mini and juniors! Not possible without the SRUSR societies support ”

His first game was an U13 at Lichfield RUFC and then refereed a wide variety of games across LRUFC for 2 years, including Pete Aspley’s U17’s and the famous VETs team.

Having gone to Leicester University to gain his degree, he carried on refereeing and his breakthrough was refereeing the ARMY v NAVY at Twickenham in front of 80,000 people in 2014.

Since then he has travelled all over the world including the U20’s World Cup in South Africa and a few weeks ago he was referring several Australian Club Cup Games. I think he is up to 65 English Premiership matches.

He is a genuine LRUFC clubman who has achieved great things.
